These are from before Michael Kors started on Project Runway before the price point went down for the MK goods.
Paid $40 for extra protection for the bottom of shoes - a must if you live in a walking city like NYC.
There is peeling on the inside straps which can be fixed easily with waterproof clear shellac of some sort. The velcro closure allows for a secure and comfortable fit for various arch heights. My feet have continued to grow in the past 20 years so these shoes have been a piece of art.
